About the Brand

Lina Hanson has created a simple line of skin care products that bring together the best ingredients the world has to offer and formulate them to be excellent for all skin types, ages and ethnicity. Every ingredient is sourced from local farmers, supporting the livelihoods of people around the world.
Lina Hanson has created a Global Body Serum, a Global Baby Serum, a Satori Perfume, and a Global Face Serum. All of these products are purely natural, containing only the highest quality, hand-blended oils.
Below is a video about the daily life of Lina Hanson. She is a makeup artist who works very hard at what she does:

My First Impression

Lina Hanson is a woman with a mission, she has created her brand from scratch with no investors. She was generous enough to send me some free products to try and review.
Of course, the scent is the first thing I notice (it’s all about pleasing the senses). I love the scent of this facial oil. It smells much like the Global Body Serum, a pleasant orange creamsicle aroma.
I love the dark glass packaging and the simple pump dispenser.

Scent and Texture face serum review swatch

The scent is sweet and dreamy. It smells like an tangerine dessert. Frankincense and sweet citrus oils combine into a romantic and soothing scent.
I love to pump some on to my hands, and take in a few deep breaths through my nose, to really take in the uplifting fragrance. It instantly relaxes me and brightens my mood.
The texture is fairly thick and creamy, it resembles the texture of olive oil. The color is light, almost clear.

Application

This oil is heavier than Laurel Whole Plant Organic’s Antioxidant Serum, which is more of a light, dry oil.
The Global Face Serum is more robust and slippery. This is an excellent oil for those dealing with dry or mature skin. I love to use this oil when my face is feeling tight and dry, my skin just soaks it up.
This oil can be worn under makeup, my makeup stays put and doesn’t melt.
Apply by shaking and applying one pump to a clean dry face both morning and night.

Who is this product for?

This product is formulated to work on all skin types, ages and ethnicity.
I think this is an excellent oil for mature skin that is on the drier side. I find it a bit too rich to use daily (I have oily skin). Though it pairs well with the benzoyl peroxide I use on my acne.

How well does it work?

This oil brings hydration and nourishment to the skin. It absorbs well and leaves a dewy glow. It is meant to work for all skin types, but it may be too rich for acne and oily skin.

What are Other People Saying?

Many people adore Lina Hanson and her brand. Lilly at Genuine Glow says it is her favorite face serum, Organic Beauty Talk gives it a 4.5/5 stars.

Final Thoughts

I have been using this product for 3 months now and I I love it. I don’t use it everyday, because it is fairly rich, I usually use Laurel Whole Plant Organics Antioxidant Serum in the morning and use either the Global Face Serum or Amala’s Rejuvenate Treatment oil at night.
All in all, I think that Lina Hanson’s Global Face Serum is an excellent facial oil. It is luxury in a bottle and an exquisite addition to your skin care routine.
Pros:

  • intensely hydrating
  • 100 % Natural
  • dark glass packaging
  • easy to use pump dispenser
  • high-quality oils
  • ingredients harvested in a sustainable way, supporting local farmers

Cons:

  • may be too thick for oily skin
  • pricey

My Rating:

I give this serum an 8/10. I love this facial oil, it is one I will purchase (you’ve got me hooked, Lina 😉 ). It is a little rich for someone with acne, but it doesn’t make me breakout.
I love using this oil at night or whenever my skin feels on the dry side. The scent is heavenly and I literally look forward to inhaling it’s pleasant scent every night (sometimes I will just rub a little on my hands during the day, cup my hands over my face and breath in….divine.)
